the long and windy path.

The long windy path looked like it was leading to nowhere and it was never ending. But there absolutely had to be an end of it... there was an end to every beginning no matter what. I was so curious to see where it would end up and how far it would take me to get there. It was spooky almost and I got an eery feeling. The wet leaves from the green trees all around were dripping tiny raindrops onto the wooded boards of the pathway. I focused on one of the branches and noticed a tiny butterfly with blue and black wings, so it stood out more than anything. The air was moist and damp and felt very humid, but it also had a cool chill to it. The ground was wet and muddy and I refused to step a foot on it. I kept walking into the distance and turned my mind blank and only focused on where I was going; only the future and not the past.

gymnastics meet.

Her heart pounded heavily as she looked forward at the double bars in front of her. She knew that this was a make it or break it for her, and if she didn't get a better score than her last round then she was done and did not place. She concentrated solely on the first bar that she was going to start her routine on, and then glanced over at the judges for approval to start. As soon as the judge gave her the nod to go for it, she thrusted her body forward in full power to a run. Her adrenaline kicked in and as she went to catch the bar, her hands slid around them with a tight grip. She went in for her routine, and used all the strength in her arms until it hurt to loop around and do a front tuck dismount to the next bar.

a mother's touch.

The little baby seal waddled up towards her sleepy mother, looking for warmth on the windy day at the beach. All she wanted to do was cuddle up underneath her mom since she could feel the chill after just leaving the water. Her mom was already half asleep and did not want to move a muscle in her body. The baby seal played around until she got her mothers attention, and was confused on why she wouldn't budge for her. Finally, getting a little frustrated, she started to nudge her nose up against her head, hoping to get some reaction. The mother knew exactly what she needed to do to make her little baby happy and to make her to stop being a pest while she was trying to sleep, so she carefully lifted up her fin. The little baby tucked herself right into her mothers arm and made the perfect snug fit where she could feel the warmth all over her body.

delicious dessert.

I couldn't bear to wait any longer to take a bite as I watched the jelly like topping oozed over the fluffy cheesecake. I took my first bite and the cold creamy cake melted right into my mouth and the mixture of flavors blended together. The graham cracker crust crunched underneath the whipped vanilla taste of the cheese cake, and the raspberry sauce was a sweet blend that gave it a fruity twist. The raspberries on top were only the finishing touch as they squished between my teeth and tasted refreshing. I couldn't think of anything else but savoring the taste in my mouth for as long as I could.

rainbow scene.

The crisp leaves that had just freshly fallen off of the trees crunched under my rubber boot as I trailed through the open field of vibrant green grass. The smell of the air was as natural as it could be, it was the smell of fresh grass and the cool mist that surrounded from the after rain. I tilted my head up and only to see the dazzling rainbow that fell right in front of me. It looked as if I could reach out and just touch it with my bare hands; I only wished that I could do so. Beyond that was the distance view of the hills that seemed to go on forever. You could see the trees different colors and it all mixed in with the shades of the green grass. It was breath-taking and I wanted to sit and stare forever. The temperature was almost perfect. Not too hot or not too cold and not the sticky humid in the slightest bit. Just the light wind breeze that blew my curled hair away from my face and made me feel like a part of the scenery. I felt as light as a feather standing there and almost as if I could blow away. I never wanted to leave this feeling.

new blog theme.

From now on, I am starting fresh and new with my blog. It is too hard to think of things to write about, and I am getting bored with it. And if I am getting bored with my own blog, then I know that means readers will be too. So from this point on my blog is going to be just me setting the scene about pictures that I post. It was one of my favorite things to do in creative writing class, and it will only give me more practice to get better at it!

Technology Is Taking Over.

This past weekend, the new trend of the I-phone 4 has come out, and it seems to be the new talk of every conversation. A ton of my friends just got one as they were waiting for it to come out, along with my dad. I wanted to see what all the rave was about, so I looked through my dads and played with it. All I have to say is that I thought my I-phone was high tech, but this one even makes that one look not special at all. It really blew my mind when I noticed the new features on it. One of them that really was something to see was the camera. It was basically like having a full digital camera right on your phone, the picture was ridiculously clear. Then, there was an application called "Find Your Friends," and it allowed you to actually see exactly where people were. This is what really made me think... technology has gotten so high to the point where we can actually see exactly where people are on Google maps. As long as you had the account you could pinpoint exactly where that person was. Not too long ago we could not even talk to people on a cellphone, let alone the cellphone consisting of everything you need to have in your life. It was actually crazy to think about for me because I wonder what things will be like in the next ten years. It is definitely safe to say that technology is taking over our generation and will only continue to do so.
